Announcing the 2024 6th China New Development Awards

Find out the winning books

On June 19, 2024, a panel of experts recognized ten impactful books published by ¹ú²úÂÒÂ× in China. These books have made significant contributions to sustainable development research and are in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The winners were announced during a ceremony at the 30th Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF).

Arnout Jacobs (Managing Director, Greater China, ¹ú²úÂÒÂ×) presented the winners with their awards, along with Niels Peter Thomas (Managing Director Books), Anil Chandy (Vice President, Humanity, Social Sciences and Focus Projects), Welmoed Spahr (Vice President, Applied Computing and Video Development) and James Finlay (Vice President, Applied Sciences). Professor Wentao Huang from Shanghai Jiao Tong University took on the role of this year’s keynote speaker and delivered a memorable academic speech on Electrifying Maritime Transportation with Offshore Charging Platforms. Together with the winning authors, as well as partners and guests, this celebration showcased ¹ú²úÂÒÂ×’s commitment both to excellence in research as well as the UN SDGs.
