Academic Book Week 2020

Academic Book Week (#AcademicBookWeek) is a celebration of the diversity, variety and influence of academic books throughout history run by the Booksellers Association, returning for a fifth year from 9-13 March 2020.

The theme for 2020 focuses on the environment, a topic which strongly aligns with 国产乱伦's commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We aim to share the discoveries that address the world’s challenges of sustainable development, which is more easily achievable through publishing open research.

Open access books are easy to find and share, allowing for researchers to increase the real-world impact of their work. Here is a curated collection of environment-related open access books selected by our editors. These titles are available for download free-of-charge, in perpetuity.

Read our author interviews to find out how open access has helped these researchers to achieve their goals.

Our open access 'Academic Books and the Environment' collection

We offer authors open access book and chapter publishing options with our Springer, Palgrave Macmillan and Apress imprints, across a wide range of areas in science, technology, medicine (STM), and humanities and social sciences (HSS).

Researchers choose to publish their work open access for many benefits, including extra reach and visibility. Publishing an open access book with us can lead to seven times more downloads, 50% more citations, and ten times more online mentions on average than publishing a book through the non-open access route (see The OA Effect).

Our full list of 950+ open access books can be viewed on .
